Summer Job-Kitchen Assistant

Summer Student (university and/or high-school)
Kitchen Assistant/Dishwasher – full-time or part-time

starting date: as soon as possible

The perfect candidate will assist our chef by preparing salads and desserts, some prep work, help occasionally with food plating and performing dishwasher duties. Our kitchen assistant should be able to work independently. The assigned work should be performed with pride and carefulness to mirroring the chef’s fine qualities. Prior experience as garde manger (preparation of cold kitchen items) and pâtissier (preparation of desserts) is not required. Happy to provide on-the-job training.

Qualities and Skills:
•assist kitchen chef by preparing salads and desserts and occasionally plating food
•take pride in assigned work
•willing to work evenings and weekends
•operating commercial kitchen equipment
•cleaning of work space
•dishwasher duties
•other duties assigned
